Your account
To sign in, we store your email address and send you one-time sign-in links through our email provider, SendGrid. We also store the name you choose to show on certificates.
Documents and writing records
We store your documents and the writing activity recorded in our editor: keystroke timing, edits, pastes, and writing sessions. We use them only to create and verify your certificates. We do not record your screen, camera, microphone, or anything outside the editor.
Your records are private until you share a certificate. When you share, you choose whether reviewers see a summary or the full record with your text and a replay. You can revoke a certificate, and you can delete documents along with their records and certificates.
Certificates
Anyone with a certificate’s link or code can view it. Anyone who has the exact text can also confirm it matches a certificate on the verify page. A downloaded PDF stays wherever you send it, even if you later revoke the certificate online.
Classes
If you join a teacher’s class, the teacher sees your name, your email address, and the certificates you submit for that class’s assignments, including each certificate’s writing summary. The teacher does not see your other documents.
Emails we send
We email you sign-in links and a link to each certificate you create. When you use “Email it,” we send your certificate link to the addresses you enter and keep a record of those addresses for 30 days or less to prevent misuse.
Contact form
Messages you send through the contact form are emailed to AblePro through SendGrid so we can reply.
Google services
Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam, and our contact page shows a Google map. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms apply to those services.
Website operation
Like most websites, we and our hosting provider process basic technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site, apply limits, and protect against abuse. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not sell personal information.
